Affordable Housing

Early County Community Development Corporation (ECCDC) provides a wide range of affordable housing services to very low income families such as housing development and housing counseling service. We serve 14 counties (Baker, Calhoun, Colquitt, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Miller, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas and Worth) in Region 10.

ECCDC is a 501c3 non-profit community based organization formed in 2003. The organization received Georgia Department of Community Affairs certification as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) in 2007, and became a HUD Approved Local Housing Counseling Agency in 2009.

Our plan includes helping families overcome hurdles to homeownership which include the factors noted below:
 Lack of knowledge about housing assistance programs
 Lack of education about the home buying process and fair housing laws
 Lack of housing and financial education programs
 Credit worthiness of potential buyers
 Lack of available land
 Lack of adequate housing stock

The primary groups that we will serve are mainly affected by the lack of the above: very low to low- and moderate-income persons, persons with disabilities, the elderly, minorities, and families with limited English proficiency.
